Being locally owned and operated for over thirty-five years, we have been serving Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas as an authorized dealer of IBM/Lexmark typewriters and printers.

Our name may have changed (only twice) but our service, support, integrity and honesty that we show our customers has always been number one!  We pride ourselves on quick service turn around time.  Business Machines, Inc. is also proud to be a minority (woman-owned) business.

In 1998, Chris and Shanda Chitty purchased Business Machines, Inc.  Chris had been an employee of Hunter Business Machines, and later by Business Machines, Inc. for a total now of 23+ years experience.  Chris has various certifications on many different makes and models of computers, printers, and typewriters.  He is also field-trained on multiple types of office equipment and networking.  Shanda has accounting/bookkeeping experience of 20+ years, and she manages all financial and administrative aspects of the office.  She is the one that’s makes everything run smooth!  Chris and Shanda are both active with their children in community and school academic and athletic activities.  We volunteer for the Calcasieu 4-H youth programs, including participating in the Junior Leader Exchange trip.  Chris also volunteers for our community Fire Department as a first responder and firefighter.
